Walk on the track,

Draw the line on my mind.
Back up the train.
History makes more sense.
Stop lights, it’s interpretation.
Delays hold me back.
Here we are waiting to start again.
I’m standing here shaking my head.
Here we go.
Give me a new direction.
I’m no longer stuck.
Prohibit the future from unfolding.
Red lights blink while you pretend.
Unhook the caboose,
The past will never come back.
Don’t forget to push resend.
Let go of the memories.
Watch history float away over the lake.
It’s true, we could never pretend.
Walk a few steps on the track.
Take me forward to the future.
Alone, I stand on the edge of time.
Unsure of so many decisions.
Nothing ever stays the same.
The train tracks in four directions.
Buy me a ticket to the North once again.
I’ve already figured it out.
There is no wrong or right answer.
It’s never repeating the same mistakes.
No use in arguments.
Lost are the misguided intentions.
Wrong directions, it’s how it all gets messed up.
Overthinking it, it’s a brutal life.
Do something different.
Drop the old luggage from my mind.
Repetitive suggestions.
Train tracks break up the old lifestyle.
Switch tracks to start a new life.
Sober enough to know the stop sign is red.
If I could forget all the memories in my head.
The train takes off so fast.
Clocks strike twelve.
Train conductors don’t like to be late.
You enter the future on time with a glimpse of self-love.
Saying goodbye to all the regrets.
Love trains are never in a rush.
One way, it never stops once you’re on the train.
It’s hard to get off when you know you want to win.
Hands on the pocket watch. It’s time to wind it up.
Back to the future, here we are once again.
Suitcase in hand, I’m sure we’ll figure it out.
Riding over bridges, never really offend.
